Enjoying life means filling your days with things that make you feel alive.
For me? Joy is spontaneous.
Some days I’m a soft, cozy little queen reading with tea and romanticizing my existence. Other days I feel like a punk-rock menace plotting my enemies’ downfall (lovingly. mostly kidding).
Joy changes depending on the day.
Sometimes it’s reading a good book. Sometimes it’s taking photos of sunlight hitting buildings. Sometimes it’s baking at midnight because the vibes demanded it.
The point is: I know what makes me happy because I’m in touch with myself. I know what I want to feel, and I let myself chase that feeling.
Easy.
Well… not easy easy.
Because maybe you don’t know what makes your heart beat faster anymore. Maybe you don’t know what makes you feel deeply alive.
Boo. You’re lost.
(Sorry. The philosophy got to me again.)
But seriously — stop wallowing in your own pity for a second and work on it.
So… let’s get whimsical.
How to Enjoy Life Again
We move forward one tiny step at a time.
Step 1: Stop feeding your old habits
Yes, I’m talking about endless scrolling. Constant consuming. Living through other people instead of yourself.
Before you defend it, answer this honestly:Do you imagine the version of yourself who truly lives life spending hours mindlessly consuming reels and videos?
Probably not.
Every time you fall back into an old habit, ask yourself: “Is this helping me become the person I want to be?”
If you genuinely want change, try stepping away from those habits for even a few days.
I swear:
- food tastes richer,
- colors feel brighter,
- your brain slows down enough to actually notice life again.
And weirdly?
When you go back to those habits afterward, you might not even want them anymore.
Because suddenly real life feels better.

Find What You Truly Enjoy
No, I’m not going to give you the basic “try reading and painting!” speech.
What you need to do is remember: Have you ever connected deeply to something?
Anything.
Photography. Baking. Writing. Fashion. Running. Music. Making playlists. Rearranging your room at 2 a.m. because your soul said so.
Something that made you feel more like yourself.
And if you haven’t found that thing yet? That’s actually more common than you think.
I only recently found some of mine too.
So explore.Try things badly. Try random things. Try cheap things. Try things that make no sense.
It doesn’t have to be productive. It doesn’t even have to be impressive.
It just has to make your soul feel awake.
You’ll find yourself along the way.
How to Enjoy Simple Things in Life
The secret is presence.
And no — you’re probably not doing it as well as you think.
Actually pay attention to your life.Use your senses. Notice things. Observe your surroundings.
Feel the warmth of your coffee. Look at the colors in the sky. Listen to the sounds around you when you walk outside.
Life feels meaningful when you’re actually inside the moment instead of mentally living three weeks ahead.
Most of the thoughts haunting you are either:
- about the past you can’t change,
- or a future that probably won’t happen the way you fear it will.
You deal with problems when they come.
Right now? Be here.
Need help with that? A cozy life reset might help

How to Make Life More Enjoyable
Presence is the foundation.
Now comes the fun part: hobbies.
Not perfect hobbies. Not aesthetic hobbies. Not hobbies you force into a routine because TikTok told you to.
Fun hobbies.
The kind that leave tiny traces of joy throughout your day.
I love photography, writing, baking — but I don’t treat them like obligations.
If I see something beautiful while walking? Click. Photo taken.
If inspiration for my book hits while I’m in the car? Scribble scribble onto a tissue paper.
These tiny moments become memories. Little pieces of yourself scattered throughout your life.
And honestly? That’s enjoyment in its simplest form.

Final Thoughts
Any time you feel joy, inspiration, sadness, wonder — create something from it.
Observe yourself. Ask why you feel the way you do.
Life becomes beautiful when you participate in it instead of just watching it pass by.
You can build a life that feels like yours.
And trust me: once you start truly noticing life, you won’t want to go back to sleepwalking through it.
